Registration forms on-line

August 13th, 2010

Registration forms for all programs are now available for download and can be mailed, faxed or e-mailed back to the club. Note that registration is limited to club members returning from last year. new registrants will not be accepted until September 7th when open registration starts at 9:00 am from the club office and will be ongoing. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with extended office hours for Saturday, September 11th from 10am to 2pm for registration.

2010-11 registration information (forms, dates, pricing, scheduling) will be available in mid-August- check back soon! Registration information will be mailed to current members by mid-August who will have until September 3rd to pre-register. Open registration begins September 7th – 9:00 am from the club office and will be ongoing. Office hours are Monday
to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Extended office hours for Saturday September 11th from 10am to 2pm for registration. First Come First Served!

Christine and Kim- outgoing and incoming presidents


At the Prince of Wales Skating Club Annual General Meeting a new executive was elected. Kim French takes over as President, and the club thanks Christine Morgan for her leadership of the club for the past three years. We also thank our departing executive members, in particular Susan Thistle who has been on the board for over 10 years, with four years as president. There are some vacant positions on the executive, so please contact us if you are interested in helping run the club.

Ruth Noel is presented with the Sis Reid volunteer award

The club hosted a very successful Avalon Regionals competition, January 9 to 10 at the Jack Byrne arena, Torbay. Ruth Noel was presented with the Sis Reid award for volunteer efforts.

Club medalists included Ashley Morgan, Lauren Stringer, Philip McDermott, Dylan Short, Taylor Druken, Sophia Stylianides, Erin Maher and Ashley Stringer (gold), Gillian Bowering, Catherine Barrett, Kaitlin Harte, Maggie Walsh, Julia Howley (silver) and Olivia Drover-Martin, Hannah Budgell, Emma Murray and Erin McKinnon (bronze).
Others taking part included Samantha Scurrey, Holly Burford, Laura Couturier, Caroline Flynn, Meghan Murphy, Laura O’Keefe (Pre-Preliminary); Jenny Biles, Grace Clarke, Mikayla Downey, Catherine Power, Amber Boutcher, Lauren Woodruff, Kathleen Goulding, Megan Lawlor, Mackenzie Woodfine, Sarah Jane Downton, Julia O’Keefe, Laura Stevens (Preliminary); Julia Planke,  (Senior Bronze); Dylan Short, Kayla Kennedy, Julia Howley, Breauna Miller, Nicole Burt (Open). A very big thank you to Kim French, the organizing  committee and all the volunteers for a job well done!!

2009-2010 Registration

October 4th, 2009

Registration is now open to all; Canpower and CanSkate registration is on a first-come first served basis; forms for these programmes are available for download and can be dropped off at the office (located at Twin Rinks), faxed, e-mailed or mailed.  Registration is ongoing until sessions are full. Sessions are filling up fast, with only limited spaces available. All Canskate sessions are full for the autumn apart from Thursday at the Goulds.
