Club skaters had an excellent competition at Summer Skate. Medalists included Philip McDermott  (gold Senior Bronze, PreNovice dance); Dylan Short (gold, PreNovice men; Dylan also passed his PreNovice competitive test with this performance); Julia Mercer (gold in Novice short and long), Ashley Morgan (gold PreNovice short, bronze PreNovice long), and Stephanie Fagan (bronze, Novice short and long). Congratulations to all, and also to Breaunna Miller and Olivia Drover-Martin who passed their PreNovice competitive tests (Full Results)

Congratulations to Ashley Morgan and Nicole Chan who passed their Novice competitive tests at the Summer test day. In addition, Lauren Stringer passed her 10 Fox, and Junior Bronze Skills; and Catherine Power passed Dutch, Canasta, Baby Blues dances; and Preliminary freeskate

Best of luck to club skater Yvonne Chan who will be competing at the Canada Games in PEI over the next two weeks.

The club anticipates needing additional coaches for Canskate sessions this year. Any coach interested in this opportunity should contact Kim French (vice president and coaching liaison).

Julia Mercer finished 7th in her flight of Novice long at Minto; she also competed in the Quebec Summer Championships where she finished  6th in the short  and 9th in Novice long.
