Nicole Burt featured on Telegram story

The May 28 edition of the Telegram featured a story on Prince of Wales member Nicole Burt’s joining Canada’s top synchronized skating team, Nexxice
“I was so nervous at the tryouts. I was keeping up with them and I didn’t fall or anything, but inside I was freaking out completely, and I’m still freaking out completely.” Admittedly, Burt is still worked up over as joining the team requires her to leave the family nest and move to Burlington on her own. “I think that’s part of the reason I feel so overwhelmed about it, not only am I representing the country but I’ve got to move out on my own.”

New board elected at AGM

Kim hands over the reins to Ruth as the AGM winds up

The election of Board Members to the Prince of Wales Skating Club took place at the Annual General meeting. Ruth noel is the new president and is joined by Dana Boutcher (vice-President), Marjorie Noel returning as Treasurer, Rebecca Kehoe as adult coordinator, Allie Winter as synchro coordinator and Dave Liverman as publicity coordinator. The meeting expressed their heartfelt thanks to Kim French, who moved to past-president and who will also be coordinating programme assistants next season. The club also thanks all retiring board members, but particularly Christine Morgan for her ten years of service.

Club Office Open Year Round!

The Prince of Wales Skating Club is pleased to announce that our Club Administrator, Barbara Kirkland, has accepted the full time position as Executive Director with our Club. We are excited to announce that our club office will now be open year round to fulfill the needs of our skating family.
