The Prince of Wales Figure Skating Club, based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, was established in 1963 (although not formaly constituted until 1965). It has played a major role in the development of figure skating in Newfoundland, being innovative from the start, and has taught thousands of Newfoundlanders to skate.
