PreCanSkate
PreSkate is the introductory level of CanSkate, the Skate Canada flagship learn-to-skate program. It is designed for 4 year olds just beginning skating. Instruction is on a group basis, with professional coaches on the ice, and experienced programme assistants. The sessions mix fun and play, and are 30 minutes long. Helmets are mandatory.
Times
PreSkate is held over twenty weeks starting in October in two 10 week sessions, before and after Christmas. Skaters who progress well may switch to CanSkate at any time on the recommendation of the professional coach.

Costs
Full details are available under Registration. For more information contact the CanSkate coordinator at 579-1923.
Note: Due to liability issues and Skate Canada regulations, unregistered parents will not be permitted on the ice with the child. If a parent would feel more comfortable joining their child they can be registered with Skate Canada and our club for a one time per season charge of $30.00. Parents who are not insured will not be admitted to the ice surface. If you will have a different parent on the ice each week with the child, then each of them will have to register separately at a cost of $30.00 each. The insurance is only valid for the individual whose name is on the registration form.
