Project Description
CanAdult
CanAdult is a learn-to-skate program for adults (ages 18 and up). Group instruction is provided by a certified coach and supervision from program assistants (experienced adult skaters).
Skating Skills at Any Age
Whether you want to learn to skate or improve your existing skating skills we have the program for you. We have learn to skate programs tailored specifically for those 17 and older, with coaching entirely by our professionals. Several of our adult skaters have gone on from our adult program to join our Masters synchro team, the STARSkate/Adult program and even compete.
Skate Canada is also proud to have all its programs taught by professional coaches who are specially trained and certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
Our clubs from across Canada are excited as they prepare to welcome and serve learn-to-skate clientele from every walk of life, age, and every interest level.
When and Where
This session operates on Wednesday evenings 7:30-8:20pm at Feildian Gardens, over twenty weeks starting in early October in two 10 week sessions, before and after Christmas.
CanSkate is a basic learn-to-skate program that can accommodate a range of abilities from those who are complete beginners up to those with some skating skills who wish to improve. Skaters learn at their own pace through badge levels. There will be professional coaching to help skaters progress at their own pace. Helmets are compulsory up to Stage 5 (or on coach’s recommendation).
