The Skate NL Sectional Championships were held at the Glacier in Mount Pearl this past weekend. We are very proud of all our skaters who participated and special congratulations to those who achieved personal bests and won medals in their categories. Club skater, Dayton Fifield was presented with the Skipper award in its inaugural year. This award goes to the skater who meets and exceeds the minimum technical score required to qualify for Skate Canada Challenge. Dayton received an impressive 32.29 points in her technical in the free program, earning the right to represent Newfoundland and Prince of Wales at Challenge in just a few short weeks.
It takes tremendous dedication to achieve success at this level and we are beyond proud of Dayton and all our hardworking skaters!
